Before we started the move I commissioned Teng to craft a collar for pink. But I have not seen either one of them since then. Which I suppose is a strange and functional coincidence.
Faced with a second slave I have toyed with what I wished to do for a collar. But I believe I have come up with something that pleases me.
In one of the recent raids I came across a lot of thin round metal strips cut down into rings. Fascinated ... I have been messing with them for hands now. One day I noticed Catch's necklace. A flower. It struck me .. how well it fit. Fit how I thought of her .. fit her as a whole.
If free women are shooting stars ..women that you can never quite grasp fully ... I think slaves are falling ones. The kind you pick up and put into your pocket and carry around with you. Sometimes forgotten and sometimes taken for granted but .. always there for you no matter what.
huh
.. perhaps in my perfect world.
So anyway ... I began crafting a collar from the rings of metal. Hooking .. clasping. I am not artisan so it has taken me hands to come up with any kind of functional crafting of the stuff. But it is something that will be made by my own hand .. and there will not be another one like it. That pleases me.
I have crafted the collar .. I am at this point working on the flower that will hang like a charm at her throat. That is proving to be the hardest part and taking me the longest amount of time. Several points in the process I have thrown the piece and stomped it into mangled oblivion. Only later to start over and try again.
It has become a challenge to me. More than a simple collar for a slave .. it has become a quest of sorts to conquer these rings and make them eventually do what I wish them to do in a way that I wish them to do it.
I must admit there is no clear winner yet ... the battle continues.
